Natasha Riach

Natasha is a litigation specialist with over 20 years of experience. She is regularly involved in complex litigation in the Superior courts and has extensive experience in mediations. Natasha frequently acts on matters involving insolvent trading, voidable transactions, breach of directors’ duties and other statutory claims under the Corporations Act 2001 and Bankruptcy Act 1966.


Natasha has a special interest in forensic investigations and the conduct of public examinations and the legal processes which can be utilised in order to trace, freeze and recover assets. Natasha has been involved in a number of long running complex insolvency administrations involving managed investments schemes and the recovery of assets in various overseas jurisdictions.

Her practice encompasses advising on all aspects of security enforcement, insolvency and reconstruction, corporate fraud and debt recovery. Natasha advises insolvency practitioners on all types of corporate and personal insolvency administrations and contentious recovery matters. She also represents corporate and private clients in financial distress or affected by insolvency or shareholder disputes. Natasha provides credit management advice and debt recovery services, and has acted in investigations and recovery action following the detection of a fraud.

Natasha is a member of the Law Council of Australia Insolvency and Reconstruction Law Committee, INSOL and is on the SA/NT State committee of ARITA. She has been recognised in Best Lawyers and Doyle’s Guide for Insolvency and Reorganization Law.
