Mansueto Legal is a boutique law firm specialising in insolvency and restructuring law. Focusing on turnaround, re-organisation and restructure when working with businesses and company directors, and all aspects of insolvency law arising from a formal appointment.

Who We Are
Mansueto Legal is a legal practice established by
Ray Mansueto in 2011 after a decade heading up the insolvency and restructuring team at Minter Ellison SA/NT.
Ray offers the expertise and experience gained in national law firms within a boutique firm’s values and personalised service. He is recognised as Pre-eminent in Doyles Guide, listed in in Who’s Who Legal Australia and New Zealand and in Best Lawyers. Ray is able to draw upon years of acting for the major banks and other financial institutions
as well as insolvency practitioners across the spectrum of insolvency appointments, to assist individuals and companies and company directors in dealing with financial issues impacting their businesses, and represent them
in dealing with their creditors to achieve the best
outcomes possible.
Mansueto Legal also regularly advises insolvency practitioners, corporates, secured and unsecured creditors on all aspects of insolvency law and has a proven track record in representing clients in court, both prosecuting and defending claims arising from insolvency.

Advising individuals and corporates in respect of business-related debt and assisting in formulating reconstruction and restructuring plans for distressed companies and assets.
Assisted outcomes
Assisting with negotiations with banks, the ATO and creditors and providing advice on bankruptcy, debt agreements and personal insolvency agreements and contested creditor petitions. Working with financial brokers to obtain refinance of debt.
Security enforcement
Acting for secured creditors in the enforcement of their security, including the appointment of receivers and mortgagees in possession. Advising debtors on their rights in the event of default under their facilities.
Debt collection
Debt recovery services on behalf on secured and unsecured creditors, including preparation of claims, statutory demands, creditor petitions, winding up applications, charging orders and warrants.
Formal appointments
Advising insolvency practitioners on the myriad of legal issues arising in their appointments as bankruptcy trustees, receivers, voluntary administrators, deed administrators or liquidators. Assisting directors and individuals on their rights and obligations through a formal insolvency appointment.
Litigation
Prosecuting and defending voidable transaction recoveries such as unfair preference and uncommercial transactions and other legal claims arising in liquidation and bankruptcy, such as insolvent trading claims against directors. Procuring litigation funding from private litigation funders or governmental bodies.
Mediation
Employing alternative dispute resolution processes, such as mediation, including acting in Farm Debt Mediations.
Creditor rights
Providing corporates affected by the insolvency of their customers or suppliers with advice on their rights in the event of an insolvency administration or defending claims such as unfair preferences.
Directors’ duties
and claims
Advising directors and Boards on their duties and representing them in investigations or actions taken by liquidators, ASIC, the ATO, Fair Work Commission or other regulatory bodies, such as Director Penalty Notices, garnishee notices, public examinations and safe harbour from insolvent trading.
Fraud detection and recovery action
Assisting in the investigation of fraud and recovery action, and implementing the various processes which can utilised in order to trace, freeze and recover assets.
Disputes
Acting in a range of commercial disputes, such as shareholder disputes and contractual claims, to provide strategic and commercial advice.
